We’re proud to share that Inkblot Therapy has been recognized as a 2022 Best Workplace for Women based on an independent survey by Great Place to Work Canada of employees at hundreds of organizations. To be eligible for the list, all organizations must have been “Great Place to Work-Certified™” in the past year, have a minimum of 15 employees who are women, and have consensus from at least 90 per cent of employees that people are treated fairly, regardless of their gender.
Inkblot was ranked among the top workplaces for women based on employee responses to the Trust Index Survey, our track record for the advancement of women in the organization and programs like Room For Her—a partner initiative with Green Shield Canada aimed at supporting women’s mental health through free resources.
“With a leadership team made up of over two-thirds women, I’m not surprised to see Inkblot on this list,” says Denise Richardson, SVP of Commercial at the company. “Inkblot shows an ongoing commitment to the advancement of women in the workplace in its hiring practices, promotion opportunities and offering accessible mental health support to employees at every turn.”
While Inkblot boasts a staff of more than 60 per cent women, the majority of the tech industry remains behind in gender diversity in the workforce. According to recent data, women make up just about 30 per cent of the Canadian tech workforce, which drops to 13 per cent in the executive suite and even lower for technical and product roles.
“The tech industry often lags behind the rest of the job market when it comes to gender inclusion,” says Yiwen Sim, VP of Product at Inkblot. “At Inkblot, I had leaders who not only advocated for me but ensured that I was given the necessary support and resources to be successful in my product management career. I’m proud to work at a company that is committed to advancing underrepresented groups through true mentorship and leadership opportunities.”
In the coming year, Inkblot will continue to grow its talented team, focusing on maintaining a diverse, inclusive and healthy work environment where all employees can thrive.
